On Thursday 19th September 2019, four members of the Common Ground team got scrubbed up in their finest suits and dresses and headed down to the bright lights of London to the Montcalm Marble Arch hotel to attend the annual UK Agency Awards.
The UK Agency Awards, now in their fifth year, celebrate exceptional agencies, campaigns, and talents within the creative, design, digital, marketing, advertising, media, SEO, PPC and PR industries. Looking at previous winners of these awards and the calibre of agencies who have been previously recognised, we knew we had to enter as we believe ourselves to be in the running and wanted to be recognised within this space. The awards judging panel was comprised of professionals in marketing, communications, digital and advertising from some of the UK’s biggest brands, or to put it another way, the people you want to impress!
The entry process began back in May, where we pulled together the building blocks of our submission. We wanted to showcase how far we had come as an agency in such a short space of time, the amazing results we are achieving for our clients and the values our team demonstrates on a daily basis. In our entry, we highlighted the growth we have achieved, the experience our team has in the field, the outstanding work we are producing, the challenges we have overcome and our ambitions for the future.
We are thrilled to announce that following a long judging process, we were shortlisted as finalists for the ‘Search Agency of the Year’ category!
The night began with a champagne reception, where a trip to the photo booth was, of course, mandatory for the Common Ground team, followed by a three-course meal before the highly anticipated awards began. We were sat with two other agencies from across the UK, giving us the opportunity to network and gain an insight into how their agencies run and the campaigns they have been working on. Here at Common Ground we advocate agency partnerships and believe in collaboration and support so it was great for us to meet so many fantastic agencies and understand how different service offerings can work together. The awards were comprised of 25 categories and it was brilliant to see the diverse work being produced across the industries.
Congratulations to Brainlabs who scooped the award on the night. For a small agency who has only been trading for 18 months, we were delighted to be shortlisted in such a competitive category alongside some fantastic agencies in their respective fields. We are looking forward to continuing to deliver fantastic results for our clients over the next 12 months and aim to be crowned as winners in the future.
What’s next on the agenda for Common Ground? We are super excited to be shortlisted as finalists in the ‘One To Watch’ category at the Wirehive 100 Awards which are taking place on Thursday 17th October. Common Ground will be attending the awards, wish us luck and stay tuned to find out how we get on!
